I'm kind of a palette freak. I get a little bit giddy when I have a new one to try, because there's just so much possibility in that little slab of velvety eyeshadows. This one from Too Faced was sent to me and I cannot get enough of it—read on to find out why.
The Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar from Too Faced holds a combination of mattes and shimmery shadows ranging from light taupe to black, staying mostly on the gold/bronze spectrum with a few fun surprises like frosting pink and blueberry.
This whole palette is made with cocoa powder, so it actually smells like chocolate. For someone with a serious sweet tooth like me, it's an absolute dream.
It's a dense palette, too—I know it'll last me a long time, and all of the colors are totally wearable and blendable for a gorgeous day or night look.
Here's the combo I wore today: all-over Butter Pecan (bottom right), crease Bonbon and Caramel (the two to the left of Butter Pecan), a tiny smudge of Frosting (middle row far right) for the outer corner/smoky eye. I blended it all with a tiny bit of Butter Pecan. The black color, Licorice (top left), is gorgeous layered over black eyeliner—I use an angled liner brush to get that effect.
To finish off the look, I used Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. The great thing with Too Faced products is that you can build them—even the Better Than Sex Mascara can have a subtly gorgeous effect with only a coat or two, but you can build on that to get a va-va-voom effect.
